--DOOMUTIL is not a program that does something new, all it does is it organizes
  the shareware and other utilities for DOOM II tm.  DOOMUTIL will let you
  extract files from a zipped file. You can even pick which file within a zipped
  file will be extracted.  You can also convert DOOM I maps to DOOM II maps 
  using MAKEMAP.EXE, a program that comes with DOOM3G.ZIP (Doom 3 generator)but
  in order to run these wad files, you need to either use DOOM3G.ZIP or have a
  file which contains the DOOM I textures such as D2PTEX.WAD.  If you cannot 
  find any of these files, send me a letter and I will send you a disk with them
  ***NOTE*** The documentation that comes with MAKEMAP.EXE is included and I
  hope that you will register it the way the author of DOOM3G.ZIP recommends
  in the text file included.

--DOOMUTIL will also let you run programs like DOOMIT or Wad Manager provided 
  that you change the lines in DOOMUTIL.NFO which tells DOOMUTIL where to find
  the programs and paths.  A problem occured though.  DOOMUTIL cannot run Batch
  files for a reason I ignore so DOOMIT wouldn't work which is why this file
  should come with the file BAT2EXE.COM which turns batch files into .COM files.

--DOOMUTIL will let you run another custom program which was specially designed
  for serial connections.  Since SER5 seems to be the best in those programs,
  I went ahead and put it in the main menu.  Ser5 should be availabe as DMSER.ZIP

--I have a version of DOOMUTIL which doesn't require a mouse. If any are 
  interested, just send me mail and 5$ (shipping fee from Tawain) and I'll 
  mail it to you.

--The "file not found" messages which might get displayed when you exit 
  DOOMUTIL come if you did not both extract and convert files.  The files 
  being deleted are just a list of the files that you see on the screen when 
  you want to extract or convert files. Don't worry, I wouldn't dare to 
  delete anything off of anyone's Hard Disks. THEN AGAIN ....  ;)

--DOOMUTIL will let you shell to DOS.  

Here is a list of the files that come with DOOMUTIL :
--- DOOMUTIL.TXT --- This file.
--- DM2U.EXE     --- DOOMUtil main file that is the one to be run.
--- EGAVGA.BGI   --- A turbo file needed for displaying graphics.
--- DOOMUTIL.NFO --- Tells DOOMUTIL where to look for the paths and programs.
--- BAT2EXE.COM  --- The compiler for Batch files to .COM files.
--- MAKEMAP.EXE  --- File that converts DOOM I wadfiles to DOOMII wadfiles.
--- DOOM3GEN.DOC --- File that comes with makemap.
                                                                            
NOTES: Don't forget to change the paths in the DOOMUTIL.NFO or DOOMutilities 
won't work.
--- The files DM2U.EXE AND DOOMUTIL.NFO should be in the same directory.

This program is cardware. What I mean by cardware is that when you use this 
program , you should send me mail, a postcard, a letter, E Mail, or any other
way you can think of to let me know what you think of this program. Especially
if you think it sucks then tell me why. Thanks. I hope that the graphics will
work on all computers . If not tell me what video card you have is and I'll 
try to fix it. If you send me a letter or Email, etc.. + 5$ if you want 
something that will be on disk (shipping fee from Tawain)

to thank you for giving me feedback on this program. If any one has
suggestions as to how to make DOOMUTIL better, let me know.  If you send me
mail and an adress, I will mail to you the newest version of DM2U before it
is distributed on BBS such as COMPUSERVE, etc...
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY SO DON'T THINK I AM RIPPING YOU OFF WITH
5$ BECAUSE I AM NOT.

things you've done for me. Also for taking the mail regarding DOOMUTIL
(sent by anyone  who tried DOOMUTIL).  The mail will be adressed to him

a stable adress for E-mail nor for home since I might move soon.

Mom and DAD - For not pissing me off too much when I was staying over 14 hours
straight on the computer to work on DOOMUTIL.
