**************************************************************************** * * * Instructions for using Fixterm.exe, an original Rampage cheater! * * * **************************************************************************** Dear fellow gammer, Thankyou for downloading this cheat program for the Terminator Rampage. If you became instantly addicted to this game, as I did, but became quickly frustrated with it's difficulties, as I also did, then this program may be just what you're looking for. When first playing this game I felt rather disadvantaged. Although I was using a 486dx-50, the game ran slowly and failed to react as quickly as I did. As a result, I couldn't get past level 8 alive. So, to compensate for my lack of CPU prowess, I wrote a program that gave me a small advantage over my cyborg counterparts. By running the Fixterm program using the file name of your desired save file as a command line argument, you gain instant access to all weapons ( including that awsome V-Tech ), enormous amounts of ammo and grenades, health and armor levels beyond your wildest dreams, and a permanent access card good for all levels. Best of all, you can run this program as many times as is needed for you to complete the game. If at any time during a game you run into trouble, simply save that game, exit and run Fixterm. Upon re-entering your game, you'll be pleased to see that your character is fully replenished. **************************** Running Fixterm.exe ************************** Running Fixterm may be a bit confusing at first. But it is a rather valuable tool to anyone dead set on winning this game. It is necessary that the save files to be altered exist in a directory called RAMPAGE. Fixterm.exe should also be copied to that same RAMPAGE directory. You will select the saved game to be altered NOT by the the name you gave it when it was saved, but rather by the FILENAME it was assigned by the program. The Filenames for the saved games are in the following format: game01.sav game15.sav game41.sav etc. Notice the only difference in the Filenames is the numeric value. This numeric value begins a 01 and increases by one each time a new game is saved. You should be able to count the number of files when loading a game to locate the particular numeric value assigned to your file. This may not work however if you have deleted files. If you are unable to locate the Filename of the save file you wish to alter, I suggest doing what I did. Maximize all of them!! You run Fixterm.exe from the dos prompt. Syntax is important and must be as follows: FIXTERM GAME15.SAV First you type fixterm, then you type a space, then you type the filename you wish to alter, then type enter. If Fixterm.exe is unable to locate your file name, it will return an error message, and no changes will have been made. Well, I hope you enjoy this program. I enjoyed writing it and certainly enjoyed using it to kick some terminator butt! Any and all questions, comments and of course compliments are weclome. I can be reached on compuserve at address 75022,2067. Feel free, by the way, to distribute Fixterm.exe to your friends, or to additional BBS. Thankyou and happy hunting! Joseph Fabian
