     Hi Matt,
     
     I was exaggerating on the 4 weeks. Dramatic effect. :)
     
     This does bring up a question though. On either Q1 or Q2, does it VIS 
     faster when you break up your map into smaller rooms and connect with 
     twisty passages? I notice this technique in the original Quake maps. 
     Or does this just make it run faster in the actual game?

4 weeks sounds a bit outrageous, even for a large map.  Qbsp itself doesn't 
take too long.  The vis can take a really long time, days even. 
Unfortunately in Quake II you must vis your map before running qrad3 (the 
new light program).
