Subject: Re: AGP and GLqoole/quake

right now.....not alot.
There are no 3DFX cards that are designed to run on a AGP system. (that
I know of) I hear the new
Voodoo 2 chip (not released yet) will be AGP compatible. (anyone else
know anything
about this...) Plus, to get full use of your new AGP enabled PC, you
have to have an OS
that supports it. Win95 and NT 4.0 do not. So until the next OS's
arrive, it's not really worth
it. I was told (via rumor) that the Voodoo 2 will run Quake in 800 x 600
at 70+/- fps.......
just a rumor, though..............
