Subject: Re: Qoole's been hacked

Okay everybody. Let's end this now......

1) Qoole was hacked and someone (albeit accidentally) reported it in the
news group. The method was sloppy but the intention was honorable.

2) Yes, the developer's have the right to be upset because more important
than just a revenue source, Qoole is their intellectual property and they
have a right to protect it.

I think Kenancy Valenwell said it best, and I quote:

"What I would rather do is pay the $30.00 and know that I supported some
guys who actually came out with a good product and support it better than
some of those other pieces of crap on the market (like Deathmatch Maker).
And I agree, even a 13 year old could mow lawns or get an allowance or
something. Besides, any person who can afford a friggin' computer can sure
as hell afford $30.00 for software. I just don't see how pirating can be
justified. There's no way I'll ever change my mind on that."

Let's let this issue die and focus on helping to make a great product. I am
a huge Quake fan and have not had the time to spend more than a few minutes
trying (playing, screwing around) with Qoole, but already I can see it is a
great app and I will definitely register it.

The simple beauty of registration: SUPPORT!!!!!!

The developers (yes, I am a S/W developer) spent a ton of time on this and
deserve to be compensated. Compare $30 with how long it would take you to
write something like this, if you even could. I am more than humble enough
to say I wouldn't even attempt an app like this and thank the guys for
enduring.
