Actually, to the best of my knowledge, this is a recurring problem that
has never been fixed. There have been numerous suggested reasons for
the problem, and conflicting reports as to whether or not this same
problem happens frequently with maps produced by other map editing
programs. Things that have been found to increase/decrease the amount
of "blur" range from things like the number of health packs and bodies
in view, to the screen resolution the map is being run at. It also
seems to occur more frequently when running maps on QuakeWorld servers
than when running maps in single player mode on standalone machines.

Also, the appearance of blurring seems to vary greatly from machine to
machine; One person will report extensive blurring in a given map,
someone else running the same map on a different machine will see little
to no blurring.

Any facts anyone has about an exact cause of this problem would greatly
appreciated!
