I don't have a lot of experience with 3d cards, my old computer just has the ol' 1mb banger and thats it. I figure you need a 2d card, but it seems a bit of a waste having both. does the voodoo II only kick in when you're using 3dfx? i was thinking of a matrox millenium 2, and was wondering if anyone had any better ideas. Also, do certain cards work better with a given 3d card or are they all pretty much the same? thanks... ps. if someone could point me to a page that explains opengl, 3dfx, glide, etc I'd appreciate it. I want to know a bit about it before I run out and buy a $500+ card.
