I'd go with lotsa CSG for the main work - it's powerful stuff! You have
the basic shapes that you can use (don't forget you're already given
cylinders, cones (what Qoole calls Pyramids) and some rather chunky
spheres ;] ) to build up more complex ones - it's just a matter of
breaking down the shape you want into its basic components and then
doing it with CSG and some vertex/edge/face moves for detail work. (For
an idea, look at the house brush which is nothing more than a 5-sided
cylinder with the edges moved into the appropriate positions -
experiment around some and you'll see.) Careful you don't end up with a
whole big mess of brushes though - criminal for speed, I've been told!
