I ran in to the same problem about a week, and fortunately the solution
wan't that tricky.  You basically need to add a brush to your secret area,
and make it a trigger->secret (apply entity to the brush).  When the player 
comes into contact with the trigger, then that is your secret found.

This should do the trick (if I've got this wrong, forgive me but as always
I am mailing from work and have no Qoole with me for a point of reference).
