as for that first one, it's true, and i have absolutely no idea why it
happens; brushes will be created with offsets even if texture lock is off...
i really haven't looked in to it, as it doesn't seem to harm anything...
just wrote it off as a glitch.

as for the second one, if you have a .pak editing tool (my personal favorite
is PakExplorer), you can place your custom .wal textures into the base Q2
pak, delete the qoole q2 texture information, then have qoole reload your
texture information...
