place a brush in front of the sniping position and apply a clipping (called
either 'clip' or 'clipping') texture to it if its for quake 1, or apply the
clipping texture  to it and select 'playerclip' in texture properties then
'apply all' if its quake 2.(looked it up, texture is called 'clip' in q2)

Does anyone know how to make a brush that is invisible, cannot be walked
through, but can be shot through.

I want to make a sniping position, but the snipers are not allowed to walk
off, but they can shoot through it, and I want to make the hole bigger that
the player.
