Perhaps instead you could "disguise" it a little bit, e.g. f*** isn't so bad now is it, that is if you feel you have to swear at all. It just seems to me that when composing an e-mail you have all the time you need to think about what you are gonna say (I'm hoping you are not being offened by what I say), so surely you can think of better words to use. Have you considered that there might be real prudes on this mailing list (which may include me?) and by swearing you are not really demonstrating the intelligence that you have.
