hi

I'm probably repeating what someone else said, but here goes anyway...

Ouch, Before I go on, I just wanna say that was a long mail. Wouldn't
have been so bad if it wasn't in plain text and html. DON'T ANYONE DARE
TAKE THAT AS A CUE TO START UP THE TEXT vs HTML THREAD AGAIN.

Right, well, I've had similar problems before, and its always been my fault.

Heh :)

When I first started off, I use to export bsp and let Qoole run Quake
automatically. When Qoole kicks off Quake, it copies the .bsp file and
.prt/.pts file (if there is one) to the quake\id1\maps level.
However, if you don't select for Qoole to run quake automatically after
the level is compiled, then your .bsp just stays sitting in the directory
that it was created.

Are you running Quake from Qoole, or doing it manually? Quake does not
need the .map file to run your level, and it does not need a .pts file
if it is created (just means you won't be able to use the pointfile
command if it is not there). Neither does Quake need the .prt file if
one is created - that is for the purposes of vis. Quake 1 doesn't
even need the .wad file. It only needs the .bsp

Make sure that the .bsp that gets created is put in the quake\id1\maps
directory. Make sure you have the name of it right.

If that doesn't do it, and you've already done all this before, then sorry
for wasting your time, and I haven't got a clue what else it might be.
(unless of course you got the location of Quake wrong? Checked you got that
path correct as well as the qbsp path?)

good luck,

Moon.
