Subject: [Q2] Trouble getting custom textures into Qoole

Here's one for you...

I got WINPAK and unpacked all the textures into their map/level directories
underneath baseq2/textures. It worked fine.

I got WALLY (a medium good .WAL editor) and loaded up texture METAL17_1,
made some changes to it and saved it as JNMETAL17-1.WAL into its own
directory as baseq2\textures\jimtext\jnmetal17-1.wal.

Then I used WINPAK to repak this directory as a pak which it insisted on
naming
WINPAK.

I went back into Qoole and to the Wad Manager where I told it to add the
WINPAK (baseq2\textures\jimtext) textures to the setup which it did fine.

I clicked the Textures button in Qoole and searched until I found my
modified
texture JNMETAL17-1. It was _there_ and I was quite pleased with myself.

I then grouped several brushes together and applied my modified texture to
the group. Everything seemed to go fine and I got no kind of error
messages.

I then went to the 3D window and rendered in full textures and everything
rendered normally except the brushes I'd grouped and applied the modified
texture to. They rendered solid color. The same kind of solid you get
when
you render solid instead of textured.

Anybody have any idea why?

Thanks,

Jim
