Official or not, it works just fine on my machine, so in my book, NT 4 DOES
support PnP. It comes on the NT4 CD...

It's got nothing to do with luck. Most all notebook manufacturers have
support for power management for NT. It will always be something that has
to be provided by the notebook manufacturer....as it is not a standardized
at this time.

PnP comes on the NT4 distribution CD...AND it works, NT4 support it?

You are confusing 'supported by Microsoft' and 'supported by NT4'. They
are two different things. If it works, then NT4 supports it, and who cares
if Microsoft doesn't support it.

This sounds more like a semantical game. NT4 DOES support PnP and after
market software (or BIOS) is available for power management. The origial
question was 'does NT (NOT Microsoft) support PnP and Power Management'.

By the way, my monitors turn off just fine.
